15 years of Coincidence Records: it sounds like a long time, but it feels like it went by so fast. We are closing in on 150 releases - more if you count the sublabels. We have done just as many showcase at Tomorrowland, Kompass, Decadance,... and tried to introduce a multitude of new and upcoming talent to you. I hope we have at least achieved to do that: be one of the first stops for the artists you grew to love in the years after they debuted with us.

This compilation - as always - highlights the best tracks of the past year. Season 15 was musically a real grand cru vintage: it's just amazing how many excellent tracks came out this year. I'm proud of the young, talented people who put their hearts and souls into these works. The evidence that this was an exeptional year was in my sets: I never played more tracks of my own label as I did this year.

And yet: 2022 also was the first year after you-know-what, and that also came apparent that we lost three years - and it just has shown to be much harder to get back on track. Times have changed. We have changed. Music has changed. Unfortunately, many of the business side hasn't changed - and certain toxic people remained the same and in the positions they have always been in.

But let's not dwell on the past, but look into the future. Next year, you'll see less releases from Coincidence, but even more stubborn, handpicked material. We will see you again at Tomorrowland, obviously. And we will dance, like I have always done since that first time I walked into a club in 1989. I hope to do my part for more years to come!
